Message from the President

Going into my 2nd year as President I continue to see our Association adjust to the changes and challenges put before us. I feel very fortunate to be involved in such a supportive group. I want to thank all of our members for being active in the Association as well as a special thanks to all of our generous sponsors who provide us with wonderful products and services to help us keep our courses in the condition our members and customers deserve. I can’t forget to thank our great Board of Directors who continues to bring new direction for the Association. Last but certainly not least, I want to thank our Director Daysha Cheyne for all of her hard work and support.

I hope everyone has started off the New Year with great success. 2011 was a great year, but as we all know we experienced some interesting challenges. 2012 is going to be a wonderful year as well and with Mother Nature’s cooperation I hope we will all find easier conditions to keep our courses in good shape. I wasn’t able to see all of the West Texas courses in 2011, but I want to congratulate all of the Superintendents for a job well done in such challenging circumstances.

As you can all see we have a new website for 2012. Our goal was to create a website that would be more user friendly and provide more information for our members and sponsors. I feel very good about what we have put together and look forward to your feed back on the new site. One of the new features on the site is the Members Forum. This forum was created so all our members could discuss topics on the site. I encourage you to take a look at the topics and share your thoughts. This is a great way for the veterans to share their knowledge and experience. We all have room to learn and improve our craft.

I would like to leave all of you with one thought. Our Association is only as good as its members and sponsors so please get involved if you haven’t in the past. I assure you the rewards will be ten fold.
